You have put in a very tall order, Diana, that requires all of us to do everything we can, no matter how small, no matter how seemingly insignificant! Change can come only from the bottom up!

I needed to get those thoughts out, Diane. We have to figure out how to make the needed changes.

Shukran for the thoughtful post Diana. As suspected, it was a delicious read 🤓 I’ve had thoughts along a similar post, specifically what the UN should be doing..

I do question their inability to act on Israel’s membership provided all the venom observed in speech and deed. I mean the list is obscene!

Anyways.. shukran again for all that you do.

Viva la 🇵🇸

Thanks, Najwan. I can't understand how Israel is still part of the UN after all it's done either.

Very well written. I agree the world because of unchecked neoliberalism, unchecked greed of profit-driven militarism - is now at a pivotal juncture. And I don't think it is written anywhere that humankind will necessarily continue to exist, or even has a right to continue to exist, given its self-destructive path of not only a potential self-inflicted ecocide, but the inability of those in power and leadership roles to see the value of maintaining fundamental human rights and values for all people (not just themselves) - which may soon lead us into World War III, heralding the end of most life on earth as we know it.

I hope we can turn things around before we destroy ourselves and our life support system and all other life that depends on it, Jamenta.

I share your sentiment Diana. There is so much promise in the human race, and so many more adventures our species could go on. If we could only get past our adolescence here.

The world has been building up to this for decades. BRICS is a good thing, but Brazil vetoed Venezuela joining so that leaves one to wonder if the US is still having influence through Brazil. What we "should" do and what we "can" do may not be all that close together. We HAVE to keep resisting. Voting will solve nothing, no matter who we vote for. We need to get rid of that system. It has been so corrupted by those in power that there is no possibility right now of it being any representation of the people voting. We will have to figure out what to do as we go. If these crazies have not destroyed our world to the point of no return.

I agree, Susan, the world has been building up to this for decades. And, ya, huge disappointment about Brazil vetoed Venezuela joining BRICS.

And I think you're right. We'll just have to figure it out as we go. Change has to come from the bottom up.
