Truly is. Their fortunes will not save them from their divine outcome. And in the meantime, they are raping our global resources and enslaving our human masses. It is dark, perverse and cruel. It MUST end.
And it WILL end, Najwan. The USA and western hegemony are going down. They're being defeated militarily in both Ukraine and in Palestine and surrounding countries, it's economy is tanking, and citizens in and out of western countries are fed up with this ugly aggression. Their mask has been removed and all can see their naked greed, dishonesty and destructiveness. We need to do what we can to help this process along, build community locally and globally and know that this will end.
I just saw a great live video between Danny Haiphong and Professor Mohammad Marandi, and Professor Marandi said that they've been defeated in the court of public opinion, and this will eventually (the sooner, the better) become the reality.
This is such a scary and upsetting time, but we have to stay strong and do what we can. And I have so much admiration for all you do, Najwan.
Excellent article dear Diana, you have really delved in this subject and did it a great justice, thank you for sharing this. And yes, the Western world started to realize how evil it has been for a long time. But I don’t think it can change on its own and when it just decides to change just because it wants to be nice and reclaim its humanity, no, unfortunately societies don’t change that way. If you allow me to recommend something that could be useful for the West / Colonial/ Right to change, I would recommend a strong overwhelming Intifada by the common people in the West against all those tyrannical clowns running the show. Yes, Intifada is the only way that could work in a sycophantic society like the one we are discussing here.
What makes colonialism the most pernicious form of exceptionalism is that those who rob, repress and slaughter believe that they have been chosen to rule by a fictitious god, by a psychopathic monster made in their own image.
Great post thank you. I so agree, I also think that we have to push ani colonialism as mainstream, to the point every child in every school learn about colonial crimes the way they learn about holocaust.
Yes me too, I think a lot how to do it actually. I really hope we can make this happen.
Holocaust was great crime but important thing for real change is to make all people especially from West to understand and know it wasn’t exceptional crime but a part of a pattern. Instead we still learn what great gains Europe had from colonialism with no mention of its crimes and holocaust coming almost out of a vacuum instead of logical next step of bringing back colonial crimes to its core it the face of economy crush. 🤦♀️
I agree. We didn't learn the lesson of the holocaust, since there's another going on right now supported by the powerful in the west. It reveals how out of touch they are with so many of us who are questioning colonialist attitudes.
I'd love for kids to learn more about it in school. A subversive way of introducing kids to this is to watch Star Trek, the Next Generation with them.
I've started doing that with kids in my life, and it actually deals a lot with colonialist attitudes -- not that it doesn't have a few ingrained in itself, but it makes peace and reasonableness look much more appealing than power and greed.
I like those terms "anti-colonialist" and "colonialist" much better than "right" and "left". The direction labels make no sense to anyone anymore. Seeing the world through the eyes of those who colonize and those who are colonized/have been colonized and their sufferings really gives you a stronger perspective of the problems that plague humankind. We've got to stop stealing each other's lands and resources! We've got to share and get along--not subjugate and dominate each other. In other words, "All we are saying is...Give Peace a Chance!"
I find them much more clear than left and right, although my idea of what those terms mean are the older ones not determined by neoliberal political parties.
I hadn't read it before, and just read it now, but I think we're making very different points.
In Canada, where I live, some aboriginal people still don't have potable water, MMIW stands for murdered and missing indigenous women, which is still happening here, residential schools have a terrible record of harming the aboriginal children they were supposed to be teaching, and a lot of Canadians are examining the colonialist attitudes that contributed to this.
I don't know much about aboriginal people in Australia, and maybe it's very different there.
The point I'm making in my post is that as so many of us in Canada are examining our colonialist views, it's shocking that Israel is being supported by western governments, including ours, as it commits genocide using the same colonialist lens. That doesn't make it the same, but it depends on attitudes of white supremacy, etc.
I am all for saying see you later alligator 🫡
World in 2025 still orbits with these racist tyrannies, industrial mass slaughter machines, framing global headlines dripping propaganda.
No man or nation is above the law. It’s time we bring them down to where they belong.
ICC jail cells.
#PalestineWillBeFree
I agree, Najwan. Such a useless and destructive ideology, isn't it?

As I do you habeebti. We are warriors of the words, and we will use them to set justice for the sake of love and peace. Nothing less and nothing more.
I ache for that day.. until then, shukran from the bottom of my heart for all that you do 🙏

Stay strong dear Diana, salute
Count me in, Capt. Eissa. Community organizing, I think, is the first step.
You stay strong too. We have a lot of work ahead of us.

Who ever's name it's done in, robbing repressing and slaughter are no one's divine right, and shouldn't be done by anyone, any time, anywhere.
Thanks for commenting, Diane.
Great post thank you. I so agree, I also think that we have to push ani colonialism as mainstream, to the point every child in every school learn about colonial crimes the way they learn about holocaust.
That makes so much sense, Boguslawa. I hope we can make that happen.
Yes me too, I think a lot how to do it actually. I really hope we can make this happen.

As mother of two boys I take and thank for this hint. Star Trek next generation it is.
Angry Birds 1 actually is showing colonialism USA way perfectly. I was shocked this movie is so openly critical of USA.
I haven't seen it, but it sounds like it's worth watching.
It really is, I just expected funny children movie so it was great surprise to see this on point critic and it was still funny.
White dogma is often not aware even that it has white dogma.
Nobody is more homeless in a way than the colonizer.
Nobody believes in belonging more damagingly than the colonizer
That makes sense, Andy.
Excellent article, Diana (and another dynamic painting!).
Hey, thanks, Leon!

Give Peace a Chance -- yes!
Great article, thank you!
( have you read Roslyn Ross on Substack ‘ Not all all colonisations are equal’ would love to hear your thoughts!!
Hi Lisa,
I hadn't read it before, and just read it now, but I think we're making very different points.

Ah, thank you
I just found her article extremely troubling and was looking for an ally! ( I am Australian)
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my message and to read the article!
It seemed to me to have whitewashed the Australian aboriginal experience from what I know of it.
Yes, what she wrote was appalling
It is hard to trust some of my fellow Germans when their way of ghosting Gaza shows how little they know themselves.
But inner exile would for me not be sustainable.
Inner exile would overlook that Gaza is about a global class war from above
