"Instead of being paralyzed with fear, we need to prepare. What I think will provide the stability we need during this tumultuous time is our communities."
Very insightful! We need to do things and not just sit around and worry about things. I like your focus on communities, too. I wish I had some close friends and a local community to depend on, but everyone seems to have drifted apart. I gotta work on that.
I may have included this link in a previous comment, Diana, but it applies perfectly to your theme today. In my small rural community we have a garden seed library that provides free vegetable and flower seeds through eight libraries in the county. It started up right before COVID hit, but managed to survive that challenge and continues to thrive. It is a model that others could use. Many of us grow extra seedlings and produce to share with local food banks.
Even people without garden space can raise some fresh produce in containers on a back porch or balcony.
Right at home is where the revolution begins!
It brings to mind the old Green Party slogan, 'Think globally, act locally', Diane.
Great suggestions Diana , there is so much that we are already doing and can do…
We are not hopeless , we are inspiring , thank you
And I think we will. By necessity. Thank you, Susan.
Thanks Diana, you give me hope, will keep this to refer back to, lots of great ideas
I'm so glad it gives you hope, Lisa. Community development is what gives me hope too.

Thanks. And others in your community might be feeling the same way. Good luck reconnectiong.
