People fail to realize that long after he and his thugs are gone others will be cleaning up the mess they left behind. We are still dealing with the vestiges of World War ll. We can no longer afford "disordered minds" in power.

Your comments bring to mind the mess people have to clean up after parties. Yes, we have one hell of a mess to clean up already, and it's still getting messier.

Thanks for commenting, Robert.

Time to empty the ashtray in the Marlboro Man's bowl of cornflakes.

Marlboro Men cannot or will not change, nor will they ride off into the sunset any time soon, and not of their own volition. They are money and power junkies with no heart, no soul, no conscience and a one-track mind. Pure evil! Like schoolyard bullies and bar room brawlers, they respond only to raw power and brute force, which means that it would take more than one good man or woman to replace them; you'd need a whole uprising from the bottom up. And I'm afraid we know how uprisings go. In the meantime, until there is a major shift in human consciousness and human values toward peace, harmony and health, the world will be stuck with variants of the Marlboro Man for some time to come.

Hi Diane,

I'm aware of what you say, but my post was intended more to take some of the glamour away from Trump and his ilk. He still seems to have a lot of sway on people, and it astounds me.

I don't expect one heroic person to save the day, but thought I'd create a pathway for something heroic, while making what they're doing right now seem unattractive.

Something I know from the very rich is that they want to look good and want admiration from others. So that's the impulse this post came out of.

There are those who see through the glamour and glitter, and those who don't or don't want to, and those who can't be helped. Nevertheless, Diana, it doesn't hurt to keep trying!

Every tool in the toolbox, Diane...I'm determined to keep trying.

Something that comes to mind was waiting at a traffic light beside an attractive young woman, when a big wheeled vehicle came by and revved its engine, probably trying to get this woman's attention. She gave him the finger.

I appreciated that, and like to hope that this kind of messaging will give these types the message that their machismo when expressed in loud and aggressive ways is not appreciated and is, in fact, passé.
