Expect Cuomo to run in the general to make sure Mamdani loses (by splitting the Team D ticket) combined with an all-out propaganda blitz, much of which will have no obvious connection to Israel or Palestine.

I also expect to see a re-energized public to address this.

Great win indeed. I am sure AIPAC now has mobilized all its evil forces to plan how to fight such change. Creatures like the devils in AIPAC won’t just let NY slip away from their grip.

Stay strong dear Diana, salute

I have no doubt that you're right about AIPAC, Capt. Eissa.

Salute, and stay strong. It sounds like more people are getting fed up with the system that is robbing them blind and destroying their future.

Yes, people need to rise up and free the US from AIPAC and the likes of them.

I was DELIGHTED by Mandani's victory in the Democratic primary. Let us hope that he can win the three-way election.

I also hope that Democrats will now rally around this progressive candidate. He is INFINITELY BETTER than Curtis Sliwa (of the "Guardian Angels," and thus sympathetic to vigilante justice) and Eric Adams (Trump's pal). However, both -- particularly Adams -- will get massive Right-wing funding. We have won the battle; we have not yet won the war...

It's still a wonderful first step, Lenny. Lots of challenges ahead, for sure.

It is hopeful that he was elected but it remains to be seen what actual changes he will bring about. Or will be allowed to bring about.

I agree, Susan. Those forces he's up against are powerful.

Mamdani still has to win the election in November, but his winning the Democratic primary is a good sign! The big question, if he wins, is will he able to carry out his revolutionary program, or any portion of it? 🤞

Yes, it could well go differently in the long run, Michael, but it's still a win to celebrate for now.

This win was only in the Democrat Party primary. The actual mayoral election takes place this November. My guess is that the Dems will do the same to Zohran in November as they did to DSA member India Walton who won the Dem primary for mayor in Buffalo, NY. They'll put in another status quo Dem as an independent. It's rumored that Andrew Cuomo will have an independent campaign for mayor. The corrupt system doesn't want to change and it will make this more than obvious or else Zohran is part of the system. (AOC was another supposed "progressive" that soon revealed she was part of the system.)

You're probably right. I expect that the Democrats will do all they can to keep him from winning.

Wonderful, you cannot have the much desired regime change without changing the economic system.

Here’s another angle, since ‘‘money’’ happens to be so crucial to people there’s little uproar on how these lie based wars have had a negative effect on the resale value of their assets like f.e. their homes.

Meanwhile the the rich have become very much wealthier not surprisingly after all there’s that strange reluctance if not downright refusal to properly tax them.

Yes, housing is not becoming out of reach for people but it's being bought up by the rich and rented out at exorbitant prices. These two articles outline some of the problems with housing these days:

and

These articles are both from Canada, but I'm sure it's similar everywhere in the western world.

Housing has already become something that's out of reach.

How did we get here - It's all by design - all that easy credit has turned everyday normal people into wage slaves competing against each other [one of the reasons why many went along with the plandemic after all there were mouths to feed and repayments to make.

Another divide and concur preventing unity among the masses.
