Thank YOU, Diana! I am a bit depressed right now—I cannot believe that the carnage has expanded into Lebanon, and that our wicked rulers are still supporting it. I have appreciated your voice.

I appreciate yours too, Mary.

It's hard to believe it's expanded into Lebanon, and that it continues in Gaza and now the West Bank too.

The fact that this kind of barbarism is normal in a way is so wrong. But I get your point, Mike.

So good to see that little spark of humour illuminating the sad picture we are forced to contemplate. In spite of the horror, it's right for us all who can to uphold life and hope.

I agree, Pauline. To uphold life and hope, and to do what we can to stop this senseless genocide. And to change the world for the better in the process.

I concur: Substack has become a safe haven of sorts. A reassurance that I'm not alone in my grief, horror and frustration. I am at a loss to comprehend the creep towards world war, even anhillation, with so little truth, deliberation or fanfare. Just belligerence and propaganda. Your writing brings my world view, pbphilosophy and hopes into alignment. So thank you for your persistent pleading and dark hope. There must surely be a silver linlining here somewhere.

It's my contribution, and making it helps to keep me sane. And I hope it helps to stop this genocide, and to change things for the better. This inhumanity is unthinkable, and has to be stopped.

I'm glad my writing is helping. And I think all of our voices help.

Thank YOU, Diana. I connected with you here early on after joining Substack in November '23. You share a lot of my sentiments on Substack, writing here and finding like-minded people (some of whom I already met in person) has been therapeutic. A glimmer of hope and sanity in a dark and insane world. I always look forward to seeing your newsletter in my inbox, and I have to say I love your artwork that's accompanying your writing.

Onwards and forwards, my friend. We're all here for each other. Community building is both local and virtual ❤️
