Your painting fits the topic perfectly.

Thanks for the resistance links. There have been some shifts in public opinion about the US/Israel genocide and the BDS effort is having an effect on hobbling the Israeli economy. I encourage everyone to post the list on their Substack.

Yes, the profound moments of life to be found in peace. As a culture, we have been without true peace for so long it is hard to allow ourselves to move into it, to breathe it in and out, to express it. I'm wondering how this tenuous access to peace revolves around our flawed understanding of conflict. Conflict does not mean recourse to inimical posture and aggression. Conflict can be a sacred place of growth and learning. It can be the ground from which peace springs instead of a precursor or catalyst for havoc and hate.

Really good point, Graeme.

I was thinking more of warlike non-peace.

And also that kind of striving mentality that is so focused on being right that when within it, people often miss some of life's more sublime gifts.

Your comment here, Graham, return me to my years in the Machoman Military, Half of them in warfare, that brought me first to insanity, then eventually inner peace.... and to authorship. Currently drafting an Article on Diana as a prelude to an interview with this marvelous lass.....

Peace Bro, Maurice

I sometimes think people don't know what they're forfeiting when they support war.

This is one of the most beautiful posts I've ever read of yours. And I love the painting immensely! Many blessings. May we gather the moments of peace and spread them! May all beings thrive in peace and abundance! May all beings be happy and free and liberated from all suffering. So be it.

Two years of brutal conflict in Aden was an experience I could never recommend, Diana, quite against the command of the Garrison, or the dangers of being shot, I found solace by wandering on my own with wild camels between, or climbing the Jebels. This juxtaposing here of "conflict" "sacred" "sublime" "aggression" "gifts" Is rather poignant. See you Friday, metaphorically your, Maurice
